What steps can be taken to address a lack of transparency or ineffective communication in the relationship between a CEO and employees
The relationship between the CEO and the employees is typically one of leadership and authority. The CEO is responsible for setting the overall direction and strategy of the company and is ultimately accountable for its success or failure. Employees, on the other hand, are responsible for carrying out the day-to-day operations of the company and achieving the goals set by the CEO.
The CEO is often seen as the figurehead of the company, making important decisions, representing the company to external stakeholders, and providing guidance and support to employees. They may also be involved in hiring and firing decisions, as well as performance evaluations and career development plans for employees.
Ideally, the relationship between the CEO and the employees should be one of mutual respect and collaboration. CEOs should provide clear communication and support to employees, and employees should trust in the CEO’s leadership and vision for the company. However, this relationship can sometimes be strained if there is a lack of transparency, ineffective communication, or a mismatch in goals and values between the CEO and employees.
