Rep. Gohmert drew similarities between the FBI’s raid of Former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago home to what happened to the Roman Empire: “One of the ways that they end their time as a republic is when you have people that are destroying the country in leadership positions. That’s what brought an end to the Roman Republic.”
“It’s almost inconceivable that it would happen in the United States of America,” he told the host of NTD’s Fresh Look America, Paul Greaney. They discussed the raid, oversight of the FBI, and what this means for the country from a historical perspective.
