Versace is the ‘new Bud Light’ with Dylan Mulvaney partnership: Megyn Kelly
In a segment discussed by Megyn Kelly, the fashion brand Versace faced criticism for its partnership with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, who had previously collaborated with Bud Light. Kelly argued that Versace’s decision to work with Mulvaney, whom she referred to as a “fake” woman, was misguided, especially since Mulvaney is known for stirring controversy during her partnership with Bud Light, which resulted in a significant backlash and declining sales for the beer brand. Kelly further pointed out that mulvaney’s recent collaboration was based on an older design, suggesting that it was merely leftover from previous collections.she compared Mulvaney’s appearance in the dress to that of former First Lady Melania Trump, implying that Versace had opted for a less authentic representation. The conversation touches on broader themes of representation and authenticity in brand partnerships.
Versace is the ‘new Bud Light’ with Dylan Mulvaney partnership: Megyn Kelly
Megyn Kelly slammed fashion company Versace for partnering with transgender influencer Dylan Mulvaney, arguing it collaborated with a “fake” woman to promote its products.
Mulvaney is perhaps best known for a collaboration with Bud Light in 2023. That sparked backlash online after Mulvaney was given a custom-made can, and the beer brand faced decreasing sales afterward.
This month, Mulvaney posted online a series of photos and videos showcasing a new collaboration with Versace, prompting Kelly to joke that the fashion brand is now the “new Bud Light.”
The host of The Megyn Kelly Show also pointed out that the dress is an older design, suggesting the brand gave the transgender influencer “leftovers.” Kelly backed up her argument by posting a picture of first lady Melania Trump wearing the dress to a New Year’s Eve party last year.
“Also that is what this dress looks like on an actual woman,” Kelly wrote on X in comparing the first lady and Mulvaney. “Too bad Versace decided to partner with a fake one.”

Following the drama created between Bud Light and Mulvaney’s partnership, Mulvaney reflected on the collaboration, describing it as” an organic thing to do because it was just another part of me.” Additionally, the influencer pushed back on the idea of being an activist, claiming to instead be “just a musical theater girl who wrote a book.”
On Monday, Anheuser-Busch, Bud Light’s parent company, announced a $300 million investment in manufacturing facilities across the United States. The latest move is a part of its “Brewing Futures” initiative, which began five years ago and has directed $2 billion toward domestic operations.
