Two GOP Congressmen Share Positive Updates on Impeaching Joe Biden
Two Prominent GOP Congressmen Have Good News About Impeaching Joe Biden
It seems that the temperature among Republican congressmen is reaching a boiling point, with impeachment proceedings against President Joe Biden becoming a real possibility. Last month, Republican Rep. Lauren Boebert of Colorado introduced a bill to impeach Biden, which is now being considered by House committees. Republican Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia also supports impeachment and has drafted legislation for the same purpose.
Joining the impeachment bandwagon is Republican Rep. Matt Rosendale of Montana, who recently announced his support for impeaching Biden. And now, Republican Reps. Greg Steube of Florida and Ralph Norman of South Carolina have also expressed their backing for impeachment, but with a twist.
According to Just the News, Steube is working on his own impeachment resolution for President Biden, focusing on the corruption and violations of laws committed by the president. He has even referred to the “Biden crime family,” alluding to allegations surrounding the domestic and overseas activities of President Biden, his son Hunter Biden, and others.
While there has been talk of impeaching multiple figures within the Biden administration, Norman believes that starting with Biden himself is the way to go. He believes that the American people deserve this and that the time for action is now.
Steube also mentioned that priorities could change, pointing out that there have been discussions about impeaching Attorney General Merrick Garland for allegedly lying to Congress. He emphasized that using power and position to defend and deflect for the president and his family is against the law, especially for the top law enforcement officer in the country.
.@SpeakerMcCarthy: “If we find at the end of the day that Garland lied … I will start impeachment inquiry.”
“This is the Attorney General of the United States. If he’s lying to Congress and the Senate, there has to be consequences for those actions.” pic.twitter.com/z7n2DUx9Iq

However, not all Republicans are on board with the idea of impeaching Cabinet secretaries. Republican Rep. Darrell Issa of California believes that it is not that simple and that there needs to be a chargeable crime. He argues that as long as Cabinet officers are faithfully executing the desires and orders of the president, they are within the bounds of their duties.
Former President Donald Trump has also weighed in on the impeachment debate, stating that Biden is a compromised president who has received millions of dollars illegally from China. Trump questions why Biden is not facing impeachment for these alleged financial dealings, especially when he himself was impeached over a phone call with Ukraine’s president.
It remains to be seen how these impeachment discussions will unfold, but it is clear that the idea is gaining momentum among some prominent GOP congressmen.
