Trump unveils disparaging ‘Presidential Walk of Fame’ plaques
Former President Donald Trump unveiled new gold-lettered plaques called the “Presidential Walk of Fame” at the White House, which feature descriptions of past presidents curated by his administration. These plaques include disparaging and often critical remarks, especially targeting President Joe Biden. Biden’s plaque labels him “Sleepy Joe Biden,” calls him the “worst President in American history,” accuses him of winning through the “most corrupt election ever,” and criticizes his policies,including a mislabeled “green New Scam” and the southern border situation. The plaque also criticizes Biden’s handling of Afghanistan,inflation,the Ukraine war,and his 2024 debate performance.
Barack Obama’s plaque describes him as “one of the most divisive political figures in American history,” highlights the “highly ineffective” Affordable Care Act, and condemns his signing of the Paris Climate Accords. bill Clinton’s plaque offers mixed remarks, acknowledging economic growth during his presidency but also criticizing NAFTA and referencing scandals. It also mocks Hillary Clinton’s 2016 loss to Trump. Ronald reagan’s plaque, in contrast, praises his conservative legacy, economic and foreign policy achievements, and alleges mutual admiration between Reagan and Trump, although evidence for this is scant.
Many of the plaques were reportedly written by Trump himself, offering a subjective and politically charged perspective on his predecessors, aiming to shape his own presidential legacy.

New gold-lettered plaques under portraits of past presidents at the White House feature descriptions of President Donald Trump’s predecessors curated by the Trump administration.
Some descriptions are unflattering, with the administration saving most of its venom for former President Joe Biden.
Under the “portrait” of Biden, which the administration replaced with a picture of an autopen, a plaque says “Sleepy Joe Biden” was the “worst President in American history” and only took office because of the “most corrupt election ever.”
The plaque then slams Biden’s administration for the “Green New Scam,” a play off the progressive Green New Deal, which was never supported in its entirety by the former president. It also falsely says Biden “abolished” the southern border.
Several other swings are taken at Biden, including on the Afghanistan withdrawal begun by the first Trump administration, inflation, the Ukraine war, Hamas’s Oct. 7, 2023, attack on Israel, and Biden’s 2024 debate performance against Trump.
The plaque concludes, “He left office issuing blanket pardons to Radical Democrat criminals and thugs, as well as members of the Biden Crime Family — But despite it all, President Trump would get Re-Elected in a Landslide, and SAVE AMERICA!”
Former President Barack Obama’s plaque calls him “one of the most divisive political figures in American history” and refers to him by his full name, “Barack Hussein Obama.” Trump has often called the former president by his full name.
The plaque says Obama passed the “highly ineffective ‘Unaffordable’ Care Act” and signed “the one-sided Paris Climate Accords.”
Former President Bill Clinton’s plaque appears to have mixed messaging. The administration praises Clinton for his upset of former President George H.W. Bush and for his role in creating economic growth in the United States. However, it also slams him for approving the North American Free Trade Agreement and acknowledges that “scandals plagued his presidency.”
The plaque also takes a jab at Clinton’s wife, Hillary Clinton, for her loss to Trump nearly a decade ago, saying, “In 2016, President Clinton’s wife, Hillary, lost the Presidency to President Donald J. Trump!”
Former President Ronald Reagan’s plaque spares him from criticism, noting that he was an icon of the conservative movement. It also praises economic, military, and foreign policy moves during his presidency, such as his enactment of tax cuts and his role in ending the Cold War.
It also says Reagan was a “fan” of Trump, and the president reciprocated. There’s no prominent evidence to support that Reagan backed Trump, though the pair met in 1983 during Reagan’s presidency.

Many of the plaques were written by Trump.
“The plaques are eloquently written descriptions of each President and the legacy they left behind. As a student of history, many were written directly by the President himself,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt told CNN.
