President Donald Trump on Monday issued a self-congratulatory message in honor of Presidents Day

The president praised what he described as a powerhouse economy, powerful military, secure borders, and low crime rates in a post to Truth Social noting the holiday.

“Happy President’s Day! Prices and Inflation are Way Down. The Stock Market, and your 401k’s, are Way Up. Our Military is Strong and Powerful, Our Law Enforcement is GREAT, and Our Border is 100% Secure. Murders (YEAR 1900!) and Crime are at RECORD LOWS, and Our Country is Bigger, Better, and Stronger than EVER BEFORE!!!” he said.

“Working Hard – ENJOY YOUR DAY!” Trump concluded.

Elsewhere, Trump administration officials boasted on Monday of a “golden era” of foreign policy on certain fronts. Those comments, made by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, came as he underscored the close relationship between the United States and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

Trump has made a sweeping foreign policy agenda a hallmark of his second term in office, as he angles to win the coveted Nobel Peace Prize. The president was gifted the prize by Venezuela opposition leader Maria Corina Machado last month, but has said he deserves his own due to claims he has stopped “8 wars plus.”

The Trump administration is currently involved in seeking a peace deal to end the Ukraine war, as well as potentially a new Iran nuclear deal.
