Trump ready for ‘major sanctions on Russia’ over its ‘RIDICULOUS WAR’ against Ukraine
The article discusses former President Donald Trump’s stance on imposing meaningful sanctions on Russia in response to its ongoing war in Ukraine. Trump calls on NATO countries to stop purchasing russian oil, warning that continuing to buy it undermines their negotiating power over Russia. He is prepared to implement “major sanctions” if NATO members comply with this demand. Additionally, Trump advocates for NATO to impose tariffs between 50% and 100% on China, believing China has significant influence over Russia, and that these measures could help end the conflict more quickly.
The article also covers recent tensions involving Russia’s incursion into Polish airspace, which has prompted a meeting of the UN Security Council. Poland’s officials accuse Russia of a purposeful act and demand accountability. The Kremlin describes peace talks over Ukraine as mostly paused and cautions against expecting rapid progress. Trump expresses frustration with the situation, noting his patience with Russia is running thin but emphasizing his desire for peace and an end to the conflict.
Trump ready for ‘major sanctions on Russia’ over its ‘RIDICULOUS WAR’ against Ukraine
President Donald Trump on Saturday set conditions for the United States to unleash “major sanctions” on Russia.
He asked NATO countries to stop buying oil from Russia in order for the U.S. to follow through on the sanctions.
“As you know, NATO’S commitment to WIN has been far less than 100%, and the purchase of Russian Oil, by some, has been shocking! It greatly weakens your negotiating position, and bargaining power, over Russia. Anyway, I am ready to “go” when you are. Just say when?” Trump said in a letter posted on social media.
Trump has already punished nations like India with tariffs for buying Russian oil.
The president also believes NATO placing tariffs of “50% to 100%” on China will help the war effort because he thinks China has a “strong grip” on Russia.
“I believe that this, plus NATO, as a group, placing 50% to 100% TARIFFS ON CHINA, to be fully withdrawn after the WAR with Russia and Ukraine is ended, will also be of great help in ENDING this deadly, but RIDICULOUS, WAR. China has a strong control, and even grip, over Russia, and these powerful Tariffs will break that grip,” he wrote.
Trump says that if NATO agrees to his terms, “the WAR will end quickly, and all of those lives will be saved! If not, you are just wasting my time, and the time, energy, and money of the United States.”
Russia has tested its relationship with the international community in recent weeks. The nation’s incursion into Poland signaled that it may be testing the NATO alliance for cracks, and that the nation may be looking for options to expand further.
Trump said on Thursday that Russia’s testing of Polish borders “could’ve been a mistake” and that he was “not happy” about the situation. The United Nations Security Council met on Friday in response to the incursion of Russian drones into Polish airspace.
Poland’s Secretary of State Marcin Bosacki told the council that he doubts Russia’s trip into Polish airspace was a mistake.
“Drones are instruments of terror that have shattered homes and communities across Ukraine. Two days ago, they tried to target Polish homes,” Bosacki said.
“As for Russia, we expect to take full responsibility for this unjustified act, to fully explain the reasons for the intrusion, and to take all necessary measures so such incidents will not repeat in the future,” he said.
The Kremlin said Friday that Ukraine peace talks are “more on pause than active interaction.”

“The channels of communication exist and are established; our negotiators are able to use them to communicate. However, at the moment, it’s fair to say things are more on pause than active interaction,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told reporters during a regular briefing call. “It’s important not to wear rose-tinted glasses or expect that the negotiation process will deliver lightning-fast results.”
Trump said on the same day that his patience with Russia is “running out fast.” The president wants peace between the nations, and has tried to mediate. But his efforts have been unsuccessful so far, and Russia’s incursion into Poland has a chance of escalating the war further.
