former President Donald Trump teased the idea that Jake Paul could run for political office in the not-too-distant future and offered him his endorsement at a Kentucky rally. Paul has not said he intends to run, but Trump’s praise and onstage invitation could help any potential GOP bid. Trump called Paul brave, talented, and a skilled fighter, and he urged the crowd to consider Paul’s possible political future. Paul, who attended the rally and spoke to the crowd, thanked Trump and emphasized the need for more American factories. Their relationship remains positive, with paul having previously appeared on Trump’s podcast to appeal to younger voters. The piece notes Trump’s endorsement rhetoric in the context of GOP primaries and mentions an endorsement tracker tracking his choices for 2026.
Trump predicts Jake Paul will run for office in ‘not too distant future’
President Donald Trump suggested social media influencer and professional boxer Jake Paul may run for office while speaking at the Verst Logistics packaging facility in Kentucky.
“He’s a great guy. He’s a courageous guy and a talented guy,” Trump said after inviting Paul onstage to address the rally on Wednesday. “He’s a hell of a fighter, too, by the way.
“And I just want to say I predict, I’m going to make a prediction that you will be in the not too distant future running for political office, and you have my complete and total endorsement,” Trump said.
TRUMP ENDORSEMENT TRACKER: HERE’S WHO THE PRESIDENT HAS PICKED IN GOP MIDTERM ELECTION PRIMARIES
Paul has not indicated he will run for office, but securing Trump’s endorsement would give him a boost in any GOP primary.
Trump appeared on Paul’s podcast “Impaulsive” in 2024 during the presidential campaign to appeal to young voters. Their relationship has remained positive even after some podcasters began to express skepticism with the Trump administration’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. Paul attended the Kentucky rally on Wednesday, where he praised Trump’s leadership.
“We are here, representing the United States. It’s a blessing. Thank you, Mr. Trump,” Paul said when Trump invited him onstage. “We need more factories like this thriving all over the country, and I know he’s going to be the one to bring that here to us.
“I know God is with us. I know he wants us on the right side of history,” he said. “And God’s got us, Trump’s got us. God bless, love you, Kentucky.”
