Trump expresses concern over getting into heaven, rehashes 2020 election
Former President Donald Trump expressed doubts about his chances of getting into heaven during a flight to Israel, shortly after a historic ceasefire between Hamas and israel that he helped negotiate. In an exchange with Fox News reporter Peter Doocy, Trump said he was “a little cute” about the idea but seriously questioned weather anything could guarantee him heaven. He also revisited his claims that the 2020 presidential election was rigged, arguing that if he had won, the war between Russia and Ukraine would not have occurred, thus saving millions of lives. Trump blamed the current administration for incompetence and linked it to ongoing conflicts. This is the second recent occasion where Trump spoke publicly about his mortality and afterlife, previously mentioning his hopes of ending the Russia-Ukraine war as a way to secure a place in heaven.
Trump expresses concern over getting into heaven, rehashes 2020 election
Getting into heaven was once again on President Donald Trump’s mind on Sunday.
During a flight to Israel on the heels of last week’s historic ceasefire between Hamas and Israel, Trump commented on the likelihood of his getting into heaven. The president seemed skeptical of his chances when answering a question from Fox News journalist Peter Doocy.
“A couple weeks ago, you were doing an interview and you talked about how you hoped to end the war in Ukraine because it might help you get into heaven,” Doocy said.
“How does this help?” Doocy asked, referring to the ceasefire deal Trump helped negotiate. “Does this help?”
“I mean, you know, I’m being a little cute,” Trump replied. “I don’t think there’s anything going to get me in heaven. OK, I really don’t. I think I’m not maybe heaven-bound. I may be in heaven right now as we fly on Air Force One. I’m not sure I’m going to be able to make heaven.”
The president then referenced the 2020 presidential election, which he again called “rigged.” Trump claimed that had it not been rigged and he had been declared the winner, “millions of people” would still be alive in Russia and Ukraine because the war would have “never happened.”
“But I’ve made life a lot better for a lot of people, you know, as an example, had the election of 2020 not been rigged, you would have millions of people living, just in Russia, Ukraine alone,” Trump said. “That would have never happened, and it didn’t happen for four years.”
“We had an incompetent administration, we had an incompetent president, and because of a crooked election, millions of people are dead,” Trump said.
“And by the way, the Israeli thing was much harder to get settled because of the past administration,” Trump added.

The president’s thoughts on the 2020 presidential election aside, it is the second time in recent months that he has addressed his mortality and his fate after he dies (albeit this time was in response to a question asked by Doocy). The first time was on Aug. 19, during an interview on Fox News’s “Fox & Friends,” when he discussed a potential end to the Russia-Ukraine war.
“I want to end it,” Trump said. “I want to try and get to heaven if possible. I’m hearing I’m not doing well. I am really at the bottom of the totem pole. But if I can get to heaven, this will be one of the reasons.”
