Trump also commended businessman Vivek Ramaswamy, who suspended his campaign and threw his support behind Trump. He praised Ramaswamy’s remarkable progress, starting from scratch and achieving an impressive eight percent.
“I also want to congratulate Vivek, because he did a hell of a job, he came from zero and he’s got a big percent, probably almost eight percent, and that is an amazing job,” Trump said. “Very smart people, very capable people.”
Looking ahead, Trump emphasized the importance of unity and urged everyone to come together after the caucuses.
“I really think this is time now for everybody in our country to come together,” he stated. “We want to come together — whether it’s Republican or Democrat or liberal or conservative. It would be so nice if we could come together and straighten out the world and straighten out the problems and straighten out all of the death and destruction that we’re witnessing.”
