Trump brags Orthodox Jews ‘showed up big’ for Ciattarelli
Former President Donald Trump claimed that tens of thousands of Orthodox Jewish voters in New Jersey, notably around Lakewood and Jackson, showed strong support for the Republican gubernatorial candidate Jack Ciattarelli. He encouraged all patriotic citizens of New Jersey,including Kollel and Yeshiva students who had not yet voted,to get out and vote before the polls closed.Trump’s post was shared on Truth Social shortly before the polls closed, emphasizing the importance of voting and urging those in line by 8 p.m. to remain so and be allowed to vote. Additionally, Trump promoted a website called “Swamp the Vote USA,” focusing on elections in several states including New jersey, Virginia, pennsylvania, California, Georgia, and Maine. Simultaneously occurring, polls showed Democratic incumbent Mikie Sherrill leading over Ciattarelli, though the race remained competitive among self-reliant voters.

President Donald Trump alleged that tens of thousands of Orthodox Jews turned out to vote for the Republican gubernatorial candidate for New Jersey, Jack Ciattarelli.
“I just heard that 32,000 Orthodox Jews around Lakewood and Jackson, New Jersey, have showed up BIG for Jack Ciattarelli. My friends in this Great Community know how important this Election is to New Jersey, and to our Country,” Trump wrote on Truth Social Tuesday.
Trump wrote the post with less than three hours until the polls closed in New Jersey.
“I am asking ALL PATRIOTIC CITIZENS OF THE GREAT STATE OF NEW JERSEY, including all Kollel and Yeshiva students who haven’t voted yet, to please GET OUT AND VOTE FOR JACK CIATTARELLI. You can win this Election for Jack!” Trump added.
“Polls close at 8 P.M., and every vote counts. IF YOU ARE IN LINE BY 8 P.M., STAY IN LINE, AND THEY MUST LET YOU VOTE!”
In addition to the post, Trump shared a link to his website titled “Swamp the Vote USA,” dedicated to the elections in New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania, California, Georgia, and Maine. Trump’s hometown of New York City is also notably holding an election for mayor, among other local issues, but was left out of the website.

A John Zogby Strategies survey from Monday has Rep. Mikie Sherrill with 55% to 43.4% for Ciattarelli. While Sherrill earned over 90% of Democratic respondents in the poll and Ciattarelli had over 90% of Republican respondents, 54% of the independents surveyed went for Sherrill.
The Washington Examiner has reached out to Ciattarelli for comment.
