Trump announces 11 am flag raising as world awaits possible US military action in Iran
President Donald Trump has announced plans to install two new flag poles on the grounds of the White House, coinciding with heightened tensions surrounding the Iran-Israel conflict. In a post on Truth Social, he stated that the flag poles would be inaugurated at 11 a.m. Eastern time, emphasizing their quality and meaning. Trump referred to the poles as “magnificent” and a “gift” that would stand proudly on the North and South Lawns for many years.
Amidst these developments, Trump has been vocal about the situation in the middle East, calling for Iran’s “unconditional surrender” and indicating knowledge of the whereabouts of Iranian leadership. He criticized France’s President macron for suggesting he was seeking a ceasefire. Trump’s statements suggest a strong stance against Iran, asserting that they should have accepted a previous nuclear deal offered by the U.S. as a means to prevent conflict. The extent of U.S. involvement in the ongoing hostilities remains uncertain, as the situation continues to evolve.
Trump announces 11 am flag raising as world awaits possible US military action in Iran
President Donald Trump is putting up new flag poles around the White House grounds as the world awaits any U.S. military action in the Iran-Israel conflict.
Trump said he will raise the flags at 11 a.m. Eastern on Wednesday.
“It is my Great Honor to announce that I will be putting up two beautiful Flag Poles on both sides of the White House, North and South Lawns,” he said in a Truth Social post. “It is a GIFT from me of something which was always missing from this magnificent place. The digging and placement of the poles will begin at 7:30 A.M. EST, tomorrow morning. Flags will be raised at approximately 11 A.M. EST.”
He added that the flag poles are “the most magnificent poles made.”
“These are the most magnificent poles made — They are tall, tapered, rust proof, rope inside the pole, and of the highest quality. Hopefully, they will proudly stand at both sides of the White House for many years to come!” he concluded.
The Iran-Israel conflict, which Trump addressed multiple times on Tuesday, is top of mind for most political observers. Trump called for Iran’s “UNCONDITIONAL SURRENDER” earlier in the day and said the United States knew where Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei is hiding. He said the United States would not kill him “for now” before saying Iran should avoid attacking Americans.
Trump has said repeatedly that Iran should’ve taken the nuclear deal that the U.S. offered to the country to avert the conflict, bordering on war, with Israel. Trump chastised French President Emmanuel Macron on Tuesday morning, who said Trump is seeking a ceasefire between Israel and Iran.
“I have not reached out to Iran for ‘Peace Talks’ in any way, shape, or form,” Trump said later Tuesday. “This is just more HIGHLY FABRICATED, FAKE NEWS! If they want to talk, they know how to reach me. They should have taken the deal that was on the table — Would have saved a lot of lives!!!”
ONE BIG, BEAUTIFUL BENEFIT FOR EVERYONE
It remains unclear how much the U.S. will involve itself in the hostilities.
Trump caused confusion earlier Tuesday when he said “we” have control over the skies of Tehran, with the White House declining to clarify if the president was referring directly to the U.S. or simply Israel using U.S. equipment.
