The U.S. Treasury Department is cracking down on people and businesses funneling money to ISIS. On Monday, the agency slapped sanctions on three individuals and one entity who were found to have contributed money as well as services to help Islamic State terrorists in Syria and Turkey.

This comes as the U.S. State Department warns ISIS is ramping up efforts to reestablish their caliphate following its dismantling under the Trump administration.

In the meantime, the State Department confirmed it remains committed to working with international partners to quell the resurgence of terrorist activity.
