Tory MP and J.D. Vance Friend Jamil Jivani Headed to Washington to Help With Trade Deal

Conservative MP Jamil Jivani says he plans to accompany Prime Minister Mark Carney to Washington to help Ottawa negotiate trade issues with the United States.
Jivani is close friends and the former university roommate of U.S. Vice-President J.D. Vance and previously met with Vance in the summer of 2024 ahead of U.S. President Donald Trump’s return to serve a second term in the White House.
