Tim Scott criticizes Biden’s strange press conference, questioning his mental sharpness.
Sen. Tim Scott Slams President Biden’s Press Conference in Vietnam
Sen. Tim Scott (R-SC) didn’t hold back in his criticism of President Joe Biden’s recent press conference in Vietnam. After the 80-year-old president concluded the event by saying, “I tell you what, I don’t know about you, but I’m going to go to bed,” Scott expressed his concerns about Biden’s mental acuity.
A Question of Competence
During an interview with Fox News host Sandra Smith, Scott highlighted the moments that left many wondering about Biden’s ability to lead. “That was one of just several moments that seemed to really stop folks and ask what exactly is going on here? And who’s telling him what to do?” Smith asked. Scott’s response was clear: “Well TMI — too much information — number one. Number two, those synapses are not firing as quickly as we need them to be firing, his dereliction of duty is because of his incompetence.”
An Embarrassment for the Country
Scott didn’t mince words when describing his disappointment in Biden’s performance. “What we saw there was just embarrassing for the country, embarrassing again,” he stated. Drawing parallels to previous incidents like tripping and the ability to multitask, Scott emphasized the need for a president who is prepared to lead and has the energy to do the job.
Fumbling the Ball
Scott concluded his remarks by expressing his determination to be a president who gets the job done. “And what we see on display time and time again, is a president who seems to be fumbling the ball too close to the goal line,” he said. “I will be the president that gets the job done. It’s one of the reasons why I know America can do for anyone which has done for me, but it is time for fresh new strong leadership.”
