Tim Ballard, the inspiration behind ‘Sound Of Freedom,’ steps down from leadership roles at both organizations.
Tim Ballard’s Departure from Anti-Trafficking Organizations
Tim Ballard, the inspiring figure behind the movie ”Sound of Freedom,” has recently stepped down from his leadership roles in two prominent organizations.
Changes at the Nazarene Fund
According to a report by Motherboard, Ballard is no longer the CEO of the Nazarene Fund, an anti-trafficking organization supported by Glenn Beck.
The organization stated, “Tim Ballard is no longer the CEO of the Nazarene Fund. The Nazarene Fund remains dedicated to our mission of Rescue, Rebuild, and Restore. We are grateful for the support we receive to fulfill our mission and help those in need around the world.”
Parting Ways with Operation Underground Railroad
In another surprising development, Ballard has reportedly ”quietly parted ways” with Operation Underground Railroad, the organization he founded and which served as the inspiration for the movie.
According to Motherboard’s report, Ballard allegedly approached donors, claiming he had been “forced out,” and sought assistance in establishing a new organization.
As of now, Ballard’s name and photo still appear on Operation Underground Railroad’s ”about us” page on their website.
A Remarkable Journey
Ballard, a former Department of Homeland Security agent, was appointed by former President Donald Trump to a federal advisory panel on human trafficking.
