Surprising Thanksgiving food that’s widely disliked
Unpopular Thanksgiving Foods: The Good, the Bad, and the Cranberry Sauce
Thanksgiving is a time for indulging in delicious traditional dishes like turkey, mashed potatoes, and gravy. But not all foods are created equal, and a recent poll has revealed the most disliked Thanksgiving foods.
The Cranberry Sauce Conundrum
For the third year in a row, cranberry sauce has taken the top spot as the most unpopular Thanksgiving food. According to the Vacationer poll, a staggering 31% of respondents said they would rather skip the cranberry sauce altogether.
Coming in at a close second is sweet potatoes or yams, with 29.22% of people expressing their distaste for this classic side dish. Green bean casserole takes the third spot on the podium, with 28% of respondents giving it a thumbs down.
Surprisingly, even the star of the show, turkey, couldn’t escape criticism. It ranked as the fourth least favorite food at 27.74%. And let’s not forget about stuffing or dressing, which rounded out the top five with a disapproval rating of 26.75%.
But the unpopularity doesn’t end there. Pumpkin pie, a Thanksgiving staple, found itself in the eighth spot on the list, with 24.28% of respondents saying “no thanks” to this classic dessert.
The survey, which had a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points, polled 1,013 adults. So, if you find yourself avoiding cranberry sauce this Thanksgiving, know that you’re not alone.
