The Left’s miscalculation: Stephen Miller says Democrats made Trump ‘stronger’
The article discusses remarks made by Stephen Miller, Deputy Chief of Staff under former President Donald Trump, during an appearance on Fox News.Miller argues that Trump became stronger during his time out of office, using the period to strategize for his return to leadership. He emphasizes the evolution of the “MAGA movement” into a powerful political force, claiming that Trump’s opponents have inadvertently bolstered his resolve and political savvy.
Miller critiques the current Democratic Party, labeling its ideology as unpopular and unsellable with voters, citing contentious issues like transgender participation in sports and immigration policies. He expresses confidence that if certain reforms are implemented, the Democrats would struggle to compete in a fair political landscape.
The article notes that June 16 marks the 10-year anniversary of Trump’s initial presidential declaration, highlighting his disruptive impact on customary Republican politics. Additionally,it mentions the Trump management’s aim to significantly increase arrests by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) as part of its policy agenda.
The Left’s miscalculation: Stephen Miller says Democrats made Trump ‘stronger’
White House deputy chief of staff Stephen Miller argued that the four years that President Donald Trump was out of office strengthened the president’s leadership, both in terms of what his vision for the nation would be and in combating his political opponents.
Miller appeared on Fox News’s My View with Lara Trump Saturday and reflected on how fast the last 10 years of the nation have gone, which began with the birth of “the MAGA movement,” saying it has evolved into “the most successful influential political movement” in the world. Ahead of Trump returning to the White House on Jan. 20, Miller explained that Trump spent the four years outside the Oval Office planning “exactly” what he would do as president, ranging from securing the border, addressing trade, and “draining the swamp.”
Throughout Trump’s political career, Miller asserted that the president and his family have undergone 10 years of “Communist persecution.”
“Watching him now being able to outmaneuver the Left every single day, be 10 steps ahead of them at all times, just demonstrates how much they miscalculated by coming after him, because they’ve now made him far stronger than they could ever have possibly imagined,” Miller detailed. “I’ve never seen any leader more determined and resolved to do the right thing. Whenever anyone brings him a problem set, he always just says ‘we need to do what’s right for the American people, I don’t care what they say about me, I don’t care what they do to me, I don’t care what I have to endure, we’re going to do what’s right for the American people,’ and that’s what you’re seeing every single day.”
Miller said a major issue plaguing the current Democratic Party is its “unsellable ideology,” explaining that it now advocates for issues that only a minority of voters actually support. He listed issues including “men in women’s sports,” open borders, and defunding the police. Miller argued that the “punching bag” of those at the brunt of these issues are the voters.
“If we can accomplish these reforms to just have a free and fair society, Democrats are doomed,” Miller stated. “They cannot compete or operate in a fair system, which is why they have to rig it.”
‘UNBELIEVABLE’ MARCO RUBIO BECOMES THE TIP OF TRUMP’S SPEAR
June 16 will mark the 10-year anniversary since Trump announced his first run for president. Miller said Trump upended “establishment Republicanism” within the Republican Party, and upon winning the 2016 Republican primary, he “blew up” the party’s norms and gave voters a different choice from the “status quo.”
Last week, Miller confirmed that the Trump administration is seeking to triple the daily arrests by Immigration and Customs Enforcement, with a new goal of 3,000 arrests per day. The Washington Examiner recently learned that dozens of senior ICE officials were engaged in a heated exchange with Miller in late May, which occurred as Trump administration officials were dissatisfied with the current deportation numbers.
