‘The Duchess Of Netflix’: Video Of Meghan Markle Getting Snubbed By Mourners Inspires Mockery
A video of Meghan Markle seemingly being snubbed while greeting a group of mourners is getting all sorts of reactions on social media.
The Duchess of Sussex was in London over the weekend as royal family members gathered to mourn the death of Queen Elizabeth. It was the first time in years that Prince Harry, Prince William, Kate Middleton, and Markle had been together in one place as rumors of their ongoing feud persist.
Markle, who quit the working royal life in 2020 and moved to California with Harry, has had an extremely complicated relationship with the royals, and especially British citizens. Their disdain was on full display as the duchess greeted crowds outside Windsor Castle on Saturday.
A video clip shows Markle walking past a trio of women in the front row behind a barricade. The Duchess of Sussex reaches out for a handshake, but the first woman holds back, making a face. A second woman seems to be ignoring Markle on purpose. The third woman keeps her head down with a look of amusement on her face and also shuns the 41-year-old.

Markle didn’t react to these three citizens ignoring her, but Twitter had plenty of feedback on her behalf.
“EMBARRASSING. Lady in blue & others ARE ALL OF US. They refuse to shake hands with Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Netflix. This speaks volumes,” the video caption says.
“You don’t snitch and lie on your family, then still want an invitation to the ball,” the poster wrote in a follow-up, referring to all the negative things Markle has said about the monarchy since she left.
“This speaks volumes. She needs to go back to California asap,” one commenter agreed. “You are truly hated for your disrespect of the UK.”
However, some viewers thought the women behaved rudely, and their treatment was uncalled for, especially after the queen’s death.
“Only bigots are proud of rudeness,” one Twitter user remarked. “Not a good look to the rest of the world.”
This video of the duchess isn’t the only one circulating on social media. Royal followers are also arguing over a clip of Markle refusing to give up a bunch of flowers handed to her by the crowds, even after being approached by several aides to relieve her of the items.
Some argue Markle was trying to create a photo op, while others insist she’s just ignorant of royal protocol, The Daily Wire previously reported.
