‘That Ain’t No F***in’ Airplane’: ‘Deadliest Catch’ Teases Episode That Might Include A Russian Missile

The cast of Discovery’s “Deadliest Catch” appears to have witnessed a Russian missile launch off the coast of Alaska — and the rocket exhaust trail was clearly visible in the reality show’s teaser video posted on Twitter on Tuesday.

According to a report published Wednesday by TMZ, another fishing vessel — known as “Wizard” — had been involved in a verbal exchange with a Russian ship near the U.S.-Russia border and the missile launch had followed a short time after their interaction.

The Time Bandit was reportedly close by because they had been called for backup during the initial exchange between the Wizard and the Russian ship — which was ostensibly a dispute over fishing — but after a short time, the Russian ship apparently retreated.

It wasn’t long before one of the Time Bandit’s crew caught a glimpse of something disconcerting in the distance, however.

“Oh s***,” one crew member could be heard saying on the video, looking out a window at the rocket trail in the distance, after which he immediately called for the captain.

“Captain, do you see the rocket back there?” he asked.

“What’s that?” from the captain.

“Somebody’s shooting a missile back there,” he said, adding, “Yeah, look at that back there by the sun.”

The captain opened the window next to him and leaned over to get a better look for himself.

“Oh, hell, that’s a f***in’ missile,” he said. “That ain’t no f***ing airplane, that’s a missile!”

“That is crazy,” someone else said, and the captain added, “Yeah, I’m scared.”

“That’s coming from frickin’ Russia,” another crew member interjected.

“Did Russia shoot a f***ing missile?” another asked, looking out to see with the aid of a pair of binoculars.

The commentary continued as the crew members continued to talk over each other. “That’s a missile!” “That’s a f***in’ missile, dude,” they said.

“It’s coming towards us, Captain!” one crew member yelled just as the video cut to a title screen.
