Teen Actor Breaks Silence After Doja Cat DMs Him, Publicly Slams Him As ‘Socially Unaware’ For Revealing What She Said
Teenage Netflix star Noah Schnapp broke his silence Thursday after rapper Doja Cat slammed him for revealing that she wanted to date Schnapp’s fellow co-star, Joseph Quinn.
Doja Cat, 26, had blasted the 17-year-old’s decision to reveal her desires as “borderline snake s***” and “weasel s***,” BuzzFeed News reported. Doja Cat’s comments came after Schnapp had shared private messages from Doja Cat, in which the rapper told Schnapp she wanted to know if his 29-year-old Netflix co-star was dating anyone, on TikTok.
“Yeah, I mean, look, I’m super unserious on social media and pretty goofy, so I posted that not thinking too much of it, but obviously it hurt her feelings,” Schnapp told Variety in an interview on Thursday.
“So, as I should, I apologized and she was totally okay with it, and was like, ‘I’m sorry how I reacted.’ It was all good,” he added. “I love her. I’m like the biggest fan of her music, and I told her that. I was like, you’re literally my role model.”
“It’s all good,” the “Stranger Things” star continued. “People make such a big deal out of everything when it’s on the internet, but, like, in reality, it’s like a two minute thing.”

In the initial private messages from the “Kiss Me More” hitmaker, she asked Schnapp if he could “tell Joseph to hmu [hit me up]. Wait no. Does he have a gf [girlfriend]?”
The teen star replied, “Slide into his DMs [direct messages].”
“Idk [I don’t know] his ig [Instagram] or Twitter,” the rapper replied. “He doesn’t have a DM to slide in.”
Schnapp then shared one of his co-star’s profiles with the superstar singer and said, “Right here ma’am.”
After Noah shared their chat in a since-deleted TikTok post, Doja Cat blasted the teen in a live stream for posting “a private conversation between [her] and him” which is “so unbelievably socially unaware and wack.”
“That’s like borderline snake s***, that’s like weasel s***,” she added.
She later posted a message on Twitter that simply read, “Y’all are so cringe and lame and nobody wants to hang w u [with you] that’s why y’all be on here unironically writing replies to s*** that makes you mad.”
