CBS⁣ Announces Taylor Tomlinson as Youngest Late-Night Host in 20 Years

CBS has just made an exciting announcement for late-night television enthusiasts. Taylor Tomlinson, a ‌talented stand-up comedian, is set to become the newest host in the⁢ network’s⁤ late-night lineup at ‌the age of 29.

Tomlinson’s show, After Midnight, will follow The⁢ Late Show with ​Stephen Colbert,⁤ making‍ her the youngest host in⁢ network late-night television in two decades. Not only that, but she is also currently the only female host of ⁤late-night network television.

Stephen Colbert Reveals the News

The news of Tomlinson’s show was revealed‌ by none other ‌than Stephen ‍Colbert himself during one of his recent episodes. Tomlinson⁢ made a guest appearance on the show, and Colbert also announced ‌that ⁤he will be serving as an executive producer for After Midnight.

During the interview, Colbert asked Tomlinson what excited her about her new job. Her response‌ was ​both humorous⁤ and genuine. “I’ve never had a real job,” she confessed. “I’ve been doing stand-up since I was 16, which is not a job. I mean, I worked at a buffet and ‍a wax salon, like ‍not real, I didn’t have a job.”

Tomlinson’s Rise to ‍Success

Prior to landing her own show, Tomlinson gained recognition⁣ through two comedy specials on Netflix,⁤ titled Quarter-Life ⁤Crisis and Look at You. Fans can also look​ forward to another special from her on the‌ streaming platform in February next year.

Tomlinson’s new⁤ show ⁣will be taking over⁤ the time slot previously held by ‍ The Late⁢ Late Show, hosted by James Corden. Earlier this year, ⁢Corden announced his retirement from the show and his plans ​to return to the United Kingdom.
