Suspect In Custody Repeated Leftist Talking Points Calling Charlie Kirk ‘Fascist’ – The Federalist
Authorities have arrested 22-year-old Tyler Robinson in connection with the assassination of Charlie Kirk. According to Utah Governor Spencer Cox,Robinson confessed or implied involvement in the incident. Family members noted that Robinson had become increasingly political and expressed hatred toward Kirk shortly before the attack. Disturbingly, Robinson reportedly inscribed political messages on his bullets with phrases such as “Hey fascist! Catch!” and other provocative statements. There are also indications from Discord messages that Robinson may not have acted alone. Charlie Kirk was shot while beginning a college campus tour intended for good faith debate with students. This examination is ongoing.
Authorities announced Friday they apprehended a suspect in the Charlie Kirk assassination.
Authorities say 22-year-old Tyler Robinson was taken into custody by authorities after, according to Gov. Spencer Cox, “Robinson had confessed or implied he committed the incident.” The information was then relayed to various law enforcement departments.
Cox said that “Family members stated Robinson had become more political in recent years” and that a family member said Robinson was at a dinner prior to September 10 and during a conversation with another family member expressed his hatred toward Kirk.
More disturbing is that, according to Cox, Robinson etched political messages on his bullets, such as “Hey fascist! Catch!” “If you read this, you are gay lmfao,” “Notices bulges, OWO, what is this?” and “Bella ciao,” which is an Italian song dedicated to the partisans of the Italian resistance.
Cox also said there are messages between Robinson and an unidentified individual on Discord about Robinson leaving a rifle at a drop point, indicating Robinson may not have acted alone.
Kirk was murdered on Wednesday as he kicked off his college campus tour series in which he would engage in good faith debate with students. Kirk was answering a question about violence committed by people who identify as transgender when a single shot rang out.
