New Hampshire Governor Calls for Respectful Approach to Former President
In a recent interview with NBC News, New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu emphasized the importance of Republican presidential candidates treating former President Donald Trump with respect. Sununu urged candidates to focus on the issues and refrain from launching personal attacks against Trump.
During the interview on “Meet The Press,” Sununu praised Georgia Governor Brian Kemp for his ability to criticize Trump without facing political consequences. He described Kemp as a strong leader who handles criticism with grace.
Sununu highlighted the need for candidates to approach Trump’s legacy objectively, stating, “You just call the balls and strikes like you see them.” He emphasized the importance of prioritizing the best interests of the constituents, regardless of party affiliation. Sununu also stressed the significance of maintaining integrity and not bending or breaking rules, as it sets a precedent for future actions.
