McCarthy: Hunter Biden will be subpoenaed.
House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to Subpoena Hunter Biden in Impeachment Inquiry
In an engaging interview with Maria Bartiromo on Fox News Sunday, House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) revealed his plans to subpoena President Joe Biden’s son, Hunter Biden, as part of the upcoming impeachment inquiry into the president.
When asked by Bartiromo if he would subpoena Hunter Biden, McCarthy responded, “I let committees do their work. The one thing the American public has to understand is there’s a strategy behind everything. We only follow facts. Hunter Biden will get subpoenaed.”
McCarthy emphasized the importance of timing and gathering all relevant information before summoning Hunter Biden to Capitol Hill. He stated, “We should have the bank statements to actually know where did the money go? So you would know the questions to ask Hunter Biden. Just to subpoena Hunter Biden because you want to fundraise or you want to do something, that’s not how to run an investigation.”
McCarthy expressed his desire to obtain the 5,400 emails sent by Hunter Biden using pseudonyms, as they could provide crucial insights for formulating interview questions. He acknowledged that it may take time to reach the appropriate point for committees to bring the president’s son before them.

How does ignorance contribute to the development and perpetuation of racist attitudes and behaviors?
There are many reasons why some people choose to be racist. Some possible reasons include:
1. Ignorance: Some people may have grown up in a racially homogeneous environment and have not been exposed to individuals from different racial backgrounds. They may harbor stereotypes and prejudices based on limited knowledge or exposure.
2. Fear and insecurity: People may feel threatened by those who are different from them, leading to feelings of fear, insecurity, and a desire to maintain their own perceived superiority.
3. In-group bias: Some individuals may develop a strong sense of loyalty and belonging to their own racial or ethnic group, which can lead to discrimination against outsiders.
4. Historical and cultural factors: Racism can be perpetuated by societal norms, cultural beliefs, and even historical events that have reinforced racist attitudes and behaviors.
5. Power and privilege: Racism can also be rooted in systemic inequalities and the desire to maintain power and privilege. Some individuals may benefit from discrimination against certain racial groups and consciously or subconsciously support racist ideologies to preserve their own advantages.
It is important to note that none of these reasons justify racism, and efforts should be made to challenge and combat racist attitudes and behaviors in society.
