Southern state residents may sell homes and flee due to a shocking change.

Florida’s Population Boom and Home Insurance Crisis

In recent ⁤years, Florida has become a magnet for people seeking ⁣beautiful ‍weather and good governance. In fact, it was the fastest-growing state in the nation last year, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. The population increased by 1.9 percent, bringing the total to over 22 ⁣million.

However, ⁤not everything is rosy in the Sunshine ‌State. Skyrocketing home insurance premiums have prompted thousands of residents to flee. Some homeowners have seen their premiums surge by a staggering 900 percent, making it unsustainable for many. As a result, people are opting to go without insurance or selling their⁣ homes and moving to other states.

The exorbitant costs are⁤ driven by ⁣Florida’s high risk of severe weather, which makes insurers wary. Fraudulent‍ home insurance‍ claims ⁢and ⁤excessive litigation have also contributed to the ‌crisis. While Governor Ron DeSantis has taken steps‌ to crack down on fraud, the legal costs associated with settlements have driven major insurers out of the state.

This housing market crisis poses a serious challenge for Florida lawmakers. If left unchecked, it could lead to a semi-feudal state where only the ultra-rich can afford ⁤homes, while ‍the middle class faces exile. This trend aligns with the nation’s overall trajectory of wealth concentration and the erosion of the middle class.

The Fight for Affordable Housing

America’s Founders understood the dangers of wealth and power concentration. They knew that ⁣a republic could not survive if ⁤the few oppressed the many. The current housing crisis in Florida and across the country threatens to turn citizens into dependents of the wealthy few.

As Americans already face surging prices and difficult choices, losing their homes due to fraud and excessive litigation ⁤is a burden they ‌cannot bear. It is crucial to address this crisis and ⁢ensure housing affordability for all.

A Note from Our Deputy Managing Editor:

What ⁤if you woke up one ⁣morning and half of the people you count on ‌had ⁢just vanished overnight?

That happened to me recently. I got up, came to work here at The ⁢Western Journal, and when I got to⁤ my office, literally half of our readers had vanished. They were just gone. We⁣ had been nuked by Facebook, and it had happened almost instantly.

But‌ it‌ was⁢ even worse. Facebook hit us at the same time 90 percent ⁢of advertisers had‌ essentially boycotted us. “Brutal” is a word I’ve used a lot lately.

The‍ fight for the truth is brutal. The fight for⁢ America’s soul is brutal. What the government is doing to Jan. 6 detainees is brutal. What surgeons are doing to confused children is brutal.

It’s a fight we must win. But we can’t win without you.

A subscription to The Western Journal will go much farther than you ⁣think. It costs less than a cup of⁣ Starbucks coffee, and for that⁢ small price you get access to ALL ‍of our content — news, commentary, and premium articles — you’ll experience a radically reduced number of ads, and most importantly you will be vitally supporting the fight against leftism.

Can⁤ I count on you to subscribe today? We need your help. Benjamin Franklin summed up the situation we’re all facing when ⁢he said, “We must all hang together, or, most assuredly, we ⁤shall all ‍hang separately.”

We plan to hang in and fight. Please help us. Please subscribe today.

Sincerely,

Josh Manning

‍In what ways ‌does‌ the power of tech giants like Facebook to control and manipulate⁢ access to information have tangible consequences for journalists, media organizations, and the public?

Worse for the people who rely on The Western Journal for news and information. Many of them logged on to ⁢our website or tried to access our ⁤articles, ‌only to find that our entire‌ website had been‌ blacklisted by Facebook. Our readers couldn’t find us, no matter how hard they tried.

I’m ⁢telling you this story because it‌ highlights a ⁢serious problem that is plaguing the media industry today: the power of tech⁣ giants like⁣ Facebook to control and manipulate access to information. This power has real, tangible consequences for⁤ journalists, media organizations, and the public at large.

When a company like Facebook decides to crackdown on certain types of ⁣content or to blacklist certain media outlets, it ‍effectively silences‍ voices and limits‌ the diversity of information available to the public. This is not a⁢ problem that is unique to The Western Journal; it‍ is a problem that‍ affects journalists and media organizations of all stripes and ideologies.

But there⁣ is hope. Despite the challenges we face, independent ‌media outlets like The Western Journal are finding ways‌ to adapt and survive. We are building our ⁣own direct relationships with our readers through email newsletters and other platforms. We are diversifying our revenue streams and finding⁢ new ways⁣ to reach our audience.

At The Western⁣ Journal, we ‍believe in the power of a free and‍ independent press. We believe that the public has a right to access a wide range of information and ideas, and that it is not the role of tech ⁤giants to decide‌ what is and⁣ isn’t acceptable.

If you‍ value the work ⁣that we do, and if you believe in the importance of a free and independent press, I urge you to consider subscribing to The⁣ Western Journal. Your support will help us continue ⁣to provide quality ⁤journalism and to fight back against⁢ the ⁤forces that seek⁢ to silence us.

Thank you,
