Soros-Backed DA Not Bringing Charges Against Man Who Allegedly Attacked Dave Chappelle With Knife
CALIFORNIA – The crazed man who tackled comedian Dave Chappelle at his Hollywood Bowl performance Tuesday night will not face any serious charges, the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office says.
Instead, 23-year-old Isaiah Lee will face a possible misdemeanor charge, the DA’s office said Thursday, according to CBSLA.
Police said after Lee tackled Chappelle, he pulled out a replica gun that also had a real knife blade attached. The Los Angeles Times reported Lee did not brandish the knife but rather it was found in his bag.
The LAPD had charged the attacker with assault with a deadly weapon, a felony.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney is George Gascón, who is notoriously soft on crime.
