Noah Cyrus: Online hate made me ‘suicidal’.

Singer Noah Cyrus Opens Up About the Dark Side of Online Comments

It’s hard to imagine that someone as young as 11 could be driven to the brink of despair by hateful online comments. But that’s exactly what happened to singer Noah Cyrus.

In a candid series of posts on her Instagram Story, the 23-year-old artist revealed the devastating impact that internet trolls had on her mental health. She shared how their relentless attacks made her feel “suicidal” and pushed her into a dangerous dependency on drugs.

Despite the negativity she faced, Cyrus made a powerful declaration: she wouldn’t let the trolls ruin her happiness. She recently announced her engagement to fashion designer Pinkus, and she’s determined to protect the joy and love in her life.

Reflecting on the hurtful comments she received, Cyrus expressed her frustration with the internet’s toxic culture. She recalled how, even at a young age, she was bombarded with criticism about her appearance.

“When I was still forming my brain, I was led to believe by these same people on the internet that my little girl self didn’t deserve to live because she didn’t meet their beauty standards,” Cyrus shared. “It’s a painful reminder of how messed up the internet can be and how it drove me to the brink of suicide and addiction.”

But Cyrus isn’t just concerned about herself. She worries about the impact of online hate on children and future generations. She believes that no one should have to endure the kind of hurtful words she has faced.

“We need to stop judging people based on their appearance, who they love, where they come from, and how they choose to live their lives,” Cyrus passionately stated. “These words have real consequences, and it’s heartbreaking to see lives being lost because of them.”

In her heartfelt message, Cyrus reminded her followers that they are beautiful and loved. She hopes that her words can reach those who need support and reassurance.

The singer’s battle with depression has been well-documented, and she has been open about her journey to recovery from drug addiction. She understands the struggles many face and wants to be a source of strength and inspiration.
