Police: Sinéad O’Connor’s Death Not Considered Suspicious
Irish singer Sinéad O’Connor’s death is not being treated as suspicious, according to the police. However, an autopsy will be conducted to determine the official cause of death.
O’Connor, who tragically passed away at the age of 56, had been battling mental health issues for years. The struggle intensified in January 2022 when her 17-year-old son, Shane, died by suicide after escaping suicide watch at a local hospital.
London Metropolitan Police received an emergency call around 11:18 a.m. local time on Wednesday. When they arrived at the designated apartment, they found O’Connor unresponsive. Despite their efforts, she was pronounced dead at the scene. The police found no signs of foul play and stated that her death is not considered suspicious.
