Shooting outside Padres game in Washington, D.C. injures 3

A shooting in Washington, D.C Saturday night has left three people injured outside the Nationals baseball stadium. Authorities said the game between the San Diego Padres and Washington Nationals was suspended in the sixth inning after a shootout ensued between two cars.
A female bystander was struck outside the stadium, but has reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Two people in one of the cars involved later walked into a hospital with gunshot wounds and were questioned by authorities.
MPD seeks assistance in identifying and locating a vehicle connected to the shooting that occurred last night outside of Nationals Park.

Investigators are still trying to locate the second vehicle involved.
One fan recalled their experience in the stadium stating, “it’s like your life flashes before your eyes.” This comes just one day after the killing of a 6-year-old girl in a mass shooting in Southeast D.C.
The game is scheduled to resume on Sunday as the city plans to increase police presence around Nationals Park.
