Shedeur Sanders responds to Trump’s support after first win: ‘I TOLD YOU SO’
Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders, son of NFL Hall of Famer Deion Sanders, recently celebrated his first NFL win, leading the Browns to a 24-10 victory over the Las Vegas Raiders. Earlier this year, former President Donald Trump publicly supported sanders after he was overlooked in the NFL draft, urging teams to select him due to his “phenomenal genes” and potential for greatness. Following the win, Trump congratulated Sanders on launching his professional career successfully, saying, “I TOLD YOU SO!” Sanders expressed gratitude for Trump’s ongoing support. The Browns’ upcoming games will feature Sanders as the starting quarterback, continuing his early NFL journey.
Shedeur Sanders responds to Trump’s support after first win: ‘I TOLD YOU SO’
Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sanders expressed thanks to President Donald Trump for backing him earlier this year after scoring his first win in the National Football League earlier this week.
Sanders guided the Browns as the team faced off against the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday, helping the team score a 24-10 victory. The rookie quarterback, the son of NFL Hall of Famer and current Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, wasn’t picked by any of the 32 NFL teams in the first draft round in April, prompting Trump to weigh in and advocate for Sanders’s selection.
Seven months later, Trump congratulated Sanders for helping the Browns win Sunday’s game and kicking his career off “as a pro.” He added “I TOLD YOU SO!”
“He’s definitely been a supporter for a minute, so I’m just thankful for him even taking time out of his day to speak out his support,” Sanders said on Wednesday.
PRESIDENT ABRAHAM LINCOLN’S THANKSGIVING PROCLAMATION
Trump ripped the NFL owners for possibly being “STUPID” in initially passing on Sanders, saying the 23-year-old football player has “PHENOMENAL GENES” from his father, and is “all set for Greatness.”
The Browns’ next game is on Sunday, where they will face the San Francisco 49ers at Huntington Bank Field in Cleveland, Ohio, and Sanders will be the starting quarterback. The team’s following game will also be in Cleveland, where they will face off against the Tennessee Titans.
