Sen. Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) unleashed on the price tag of Democrats’ forthcoming infrastructure bill. In an interview with Larry Kudlow this week, the Iowa senator said Democrats are spending cash “like its monopoly money.”

This came after analysts from Goldman Sachs projected that the package could cost anywhere between $2 to $4 trillion dollars. Ernst said that money will ultimately come out of taxpayer’s wallets and urged her Democrat colleagues to instead focus on passing a COVID relief bill first.

In the meantime, D.C. insiders have said the infrastructure bill is rumored to include more Democrat wish list items, including health care and education initiatives.
