Roseanne Barr’s response to Trump’s mug shot resonates with his supporters.

Former ‍President Donald Trump’s Controversial ⁢Mug Shot

Last week, former President Donald Trump’s mug shot⁤ caused a stir on social media. The ⁢photo was taken during his arrest at Fulton County⁤ Jail after he appeared in court on ⁤conspiracy and⁤ racketeering charges related⁢ to his efforts to challenge the 2020 presidential election in⁤ Georgia.

In an⁤ article‌ by ⁢ The Atlantic, it was noted that Trump turned the routine mug shot into an opportunity for brand building.

The Atlantic’s Megan Garber described ⁤Trump’s mug ⁤shot as a display of‍ ongoing power, with Trump glaring⁢ directly into the camera ‌and treating it as a menace.

Comedian and actress ⁢ Roseanne Barr had a simpler take, declaring Trump’s ‍mug⁤ shot to be “so‌ hot” on social media.

Her comment received applause from social media users.

According to CBS, Trump’s campaign saw a significant increase in fundraising after the mug shot was released. The campaign reported raising $7.1 million⁢ since the photo’s release, with $4.18 million raised in a single day.

According⁤ to CBS, Trump’s campaign considered the mug shot⁢ a fundraising gift. The campaign reported raising “close to $20 million” in the last three weeks, despite Trump facing multiple indictments.

Jonathan Turley, a ⁣law⁤ professor at George Washington University, argued that the mug shot only fueled America’s rage. He believed it was⁢ a gratuitous insult‌ to ‍a president ‌who‌ is already facing prosecution in multiple states and could be seen as a declaration of war⁤ by Trump’s supporters.

He wrote in a commentary piece on ‌ Fox News, “For that reason,⁣ I believe‌ the mugshot was ⁣a mistake, an⁣ inflammatory moment wisely avoided in‌ New York by another Democratic prosecutor. It is entirely ‌unnecessary for the most recognized face in the United States.”

Turley also noted that many ‍people on both sides of the political ⁢spectrum relish in the rage, as it allows them to express their hatred and justify any means to achieve their goals.
