Former Libertarian Party presidential nominee Ron Paul spoke at the Libertarian National Convention where he did not shy away from attacking the failed No Labels 2024 ticket.

Paul, who sought the office of the presidency three times, once as the Libertarian Party nominee in 1988 and twice for the Republican Party in 2008 and 2012, mocked the political organization.

“No Labels? You have to label something. So now the label is No Labels, and I say no sense either,” he said during the speech. His remarks garnered some laughs from the crowd.

The No Labels ticket failed to successfully court former Republican candidate Nikki Haley, former Democratic candidate Rep. Dean Phillips (D-MN), and Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV), as well as others, to their movement.

The ticket would have been a bipartisan “unity ticket” in the event “both major parties nominate presidential candidates that the vast majority of Americans don’t want,” which the group’s leaders believe is the case with President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump.
