Report Shows Biden Let Aliens Overstay Expired Parole
The article discusses a recent report revealing that the Biden management’s Department of Homeland Security (DHS) allowed tens of thousands of illegal immigrants with expired parole status to remain in the United States without enforcement actions.Between november 2024 adn February 2025, over 61,000 parolee visas expired, but DHS agencies, including Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), failed to track or enforce these expirations properly. This lack of enforcement effectively allowed many illegal immigrants to stay in the country unlawfully.
The piece criticizes the Biden administration for using parole-a status intended for limited humanitarian or public benefit cases-as a loophole to admit millions of illegal immigrants and make them eligible for government-funded benefits such as free health care. Democrats are reportedly pushing to repeal tightened eligibility rules for these benefits, even threatening a government shutdown over the issue. The article highlights concerns that the administration instructed enrollment entities not to ask about immigration status or use terms like “undocumented” to facilitate access to health care for illegal immigrants.
Senator Chuck grassley highlighted these failures in a formal letter, underscoring a broader pattern of policy decisions that prioritize allowing immigrants to remain in the U.S.over enforcing immigration laws. The article portrays these actions as cultural and legal sabotage by the Biden administration, showing disregard for immigration laws and American taxpayer interests.
As the Democrats try to force Americans to give free health care to illegal immigrants given “parole” status, a recent report shows the Biden Department of Homeland Security (DHS) refused to deport illegal aliens who stayed in the country after their “parole” expired.
The DHS report, highlighted by a request by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley, R-Iowa, to DHS Secretary Kristi Noem on Thursday, shows that 61,455 parolee visas expired from November 2024 to February 2025 alone, and that “under [Biden] DHS policies and practices, aliens could remain unlawfully in the United States after parole expiration without enforcement consequences.”
As The Federalist reported, for the most part, paroled aliens were only given that status because the Biden administration had no interest in deporting illegals or enforcing immigration law whatsoever.
The parole function is supposed to be used sparingly and on a case-by-case basis for things like “urgent humanitarian reasons or a significant public benefit,” my colleague Brianna Lyman pointed out, and “is not intended to be used solely to avoid normal visa processing procedures and timelines, to bypass inadmissibility waiver processing, or to replace established refugee processing channels.”
However, the Biden administration decided to use the parole function as a loophole to import millions of illegals into the country, while also making them eligible for the very same free health care the Democrats have decided to shut down the government for.
They were eligible because, although still illegal aliens, the parole gave them “legal status” to be in the country temporarily, and therefore eligible to receive health benefits. However, in the “Big Beautiful Bill,” Republicans tightened eligibility requirements for those benefits, and Democrats are now demanding that provision be repealed using a government shutdown as the tool.
In a totally unsurprising display, Democrats are once again showing their deep disdain for the American people in favor of illegals who should never have been in the country, many of whom have never been given parole status, and certainly should never be eligible to receive American taxpayer-funded free government benefits.
According to the Trump administration, the Biden administration actually instructed entities that help enroll people in health care programs to actively not ask about immigration status and to “avoid” using the words “undocumented” or “illegal.”
The DHS report and Grassley’s letter to Noem show just how deep the cultural sabotage conducted by the Biden administration went.
“The OIG found that multiple Biden-DHS components — including U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) — failed to uphold their respective responsibilities under federal law and executive policy for tracking and enforcing parole expirations,” Grassley said in the letter.
Grassley noted in his letter that CBP is required by Congress to track and report overstay data to Congress and the public, but failed to do so under the Biden administration. USCIS failed to establish and maintain a data system to track parole expirations. CBP and USCIS did not inform ICE when parolees entered the country, and ICE also did not consider those whose paroles had expired as immediately removable.
Representative of all other Biden administration immigration policy, DHS was postured to see how many illegals they could flood the country rather than to actually secure the homeland.
