“We’re deeply concerned about this situation in New York,” Tenney emphasized. “A striking 85% of individuals on the terror watch list are entering through our insecure northern border. We cannot allow this invasion to continue, as it poses a grave threat to our national security and places a heavy burden on taxpayers.”
Tenney estimates that New Yorkers could end up paying around three billion dollars in taxes to support illegal immigrants in the coming year. This includes those crossing through the northern border, as well as the 37,500 migrants that Texas Governor Greg Abbott (R) has sent to New York City since August 2022.
Since President Biden took office, over 10 million immigrants have reportedly entered the country illegally, marking a record high for any administration within such a short period of time.
