Rep. Jim Banks (R-Ind.) has argued Nancy Pelosi was responsible for the breakdown of security on Capitol Hill during the January 6 protest. In an interview on Sunday, the Indiana lawmaker said Pelosi had superior authority over Capitol police and its actions as House Speaker.
Banks stressed Pelosi has sought to deflect attention from her own failure to prevent clashes at the U.S. Capitol.
“Speaker Pelosi is not interested in an investigation,” he asserted. “She’s only interested in pushing a narrative.”
Pelosi recently blocked both Banks and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio) from participating in the January 6 Commission. Banks and Jordan have argued the commission was not interested in finding the truth and only seeks to demonize conservatives.
Speaker Pelosi trusts @RepAdamSchiff to serve on the January 6th Select Committee, even though Schiff pushed the Russia hoax for years.
But not @RepJimBanks, a veteran, who deployed to Afghanistan during Operation Enduring Freedom.
What a joke.

This comes as Pelosi appointed Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) to sit in on the committee.
