Though no exact reason was given for the raids, they come as Combs is the target of several lawsuits alleging sexual abuse and sex trafficking, among other crimes. He settled one civil suit with his former girlfriend Cassie Venture out of court.

Attorney Douglas Wigdor, the attorney for Ventura and another anonymous plaintiff, praised the raids in a statement to NBC 4 Los Angeles.
“We will always support law enforcement when it seeks to prosecute those that have violated the law,” he said, adding that, hopefully, it was the beginning of a process that “will hold Mr. Combs responsible for his depraved conduct.”
