Psaki spins deputy press secy. resignation fallout

White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki was heard spinning the fallout of the resignation of former Deputy Press Secretary T.J. Ducklo. In the press briefing Tuesday, a reporter asked Psaki why Joe Biden didn’t fulfill his promise to fire Ducklo after the aide made threatening comments to a female reporter.
The reporter called out earlier remarks from Biden that he would fire anybody “on the spot” for acting disrespectfully towards someone else. Psaki dodged the question, but stated she and the administration will try to meet the standard set out by Biden himself.

Nonetheless, Psaki said Ducklo’s swift resignation was the right path forward despite not taking action until the scandal was publicly reported. In the meantime, a new deputy press secretary has not yet been announced.
