President Biden’s First In-Person Interview: The Weather Channel
President Joe Biden is set to engage in a rare one-on-one interview on Tuesday, but don’t expect him to address the latest developments surrounding his son Hunter Biden and Hunter’s former business partner Devon Archer.
Biden has been avoiding major press conferences and in-person interviews for most of his time in the White House, and the Press Corps has taken notice, regularly complaining about the lack of access to Biden and his administration. However, the president’s upcoming interview, scheduled to air on Wednesday, will focus on climate change and will be broadcasted on The Weather Channel.

White House Communications Director Ben LaBolt explained the decision, stating that the president aims to reach voters who don’t typically watch political interviews.
“Today at the Grand Canyon — the President will tape an interview on his plan to combat climate change, addressing the threat posed by extreme weather and to promote resilience. Meeting viewers where they are — including those who don’t tune into political news on a regular basis,” he said.

The interview comes after Archer’s testimony, which contradicted Joe Biden’s repeated claims of never discussing Hunter’s foreign business dealings. It suggested that Biden had indeed spoken directly to the business partners in question. Democrats have tried to downplay Archer’s claims, suggesting that Biden only engaged in trivial conversations about “the weather” with Hunter’s associates.
“They found the least likely outlet to ask about Hunter and went with it,” responded GOP Rapid Response Director Jake Schneider.

Fox News media reporter Joseph Wulfsohn pointed out the irony, stating, “Dems: ‘Devon Archer said Biden only spoke with Hunter’s business partners about the weather!’ **WH schedules interview with The Weather Channel days later**.”

The New York Post’s Miranda Devine added, “President Biden granted a rare interview Tuesday to the Weather Channel, having avoided media questions since July 13. What’s the bet he won’t be asked about the bombshell testimony of Devon Archer, the implosion of Hunter’s sweetheart deal, and cocaine found in the White House.”
