A Pennsylvania man was taken into custody Monday after police discovered seven pipe bombs at his home. He was initially arrested near a “No Kings” protest Saturday for unlawfully carrying a firearm, but was released on bond.
Kevin Krebs, 31, was detained Saturday near a “No Kings” protest in downtown West Chester. Police said Krebs was armed with a fully loaded Sig Sauer P320 handgun concealed under a yellow raincoat. He did not have a permit to carry the weapon.
According to court records, officers also found Krebs in possession of six loaded rifle magazines, an M9 bayonet knife, pepper spray, a pocket knife, a ski mask, and gloves. He was taken into custody and later released on a $250,000 bail.
Krebs reportedly told police he intended to protest peacefully but brought the weapons “to stay safe” due to concerns stemming from media reports and past events.
On Monday evening, multiple law enforcement agencies, including the FBI, ATF, and Chester County Detectives, executed a search warrant at Krebs’s residence. During the search, authorities discovered a live pipe bomb, prompting an immediate retreat and the deployment of the Montgomery County Bomb Unit. A bomb-handling robot was used to safely manage the device. On Tuesday, officials confirmed a total of seven pipe bombs were found on the premises.
In addition to the explosives, investigators recovered an AR-15 rifle, a long gun, a military-style helmet, a ski mask, and gloves from Krebs’s vehicle, which was parked several blocks from the protest site over the weekend.

Krebs was rearrested on Tuesday and is currently being held at Chester County Prison without bail. He was arraigned on Tuesday afternoon, and new charges are expected.
Authorities are continuing to investigate and are expected to either dismantle the pipe bombs or transport them for a controlled detonation. The residence is being thoroughly searched for any additional threats.
