Authorities in Fairfax County, Virginia, are on the lookout for a suspect like no other. Dubbed the “Bird Bandit,” this individual is accused of robbing a man at knife-point while three parrots perched on his shoulders.
Unsettling Encounter at McDonald’s
The incident took place near a McDonald’s restaurant, where the victim was approached by an unknown man accompanied by three birds. Displaying a knife, the suspect forcefully took an undisclosed amount of money from the victim.
Law enforcement officials describe the suspect as a Hispanic man aged between 28 and 32, adorned with tattoos. He was last seen wearing a distinctive black cowboy hat with two parrots, a patterned shirt, and a third parrot on his shoulder.
Surveillance Footage Reveals Bird Bandit’s Movements
Thanks to surveillance video obtained from a local business, authorities have been able to track the Bird Bandit’s movements. The footage shows the suspect, accompanied by his feathered companions, wandering around a convenience store.
At this time, it remains unclear whether the Bird Bandit is connected to other robbery cases or if the parrots have been involved in any other criminal activities. Detectives are diligently investigating the incident to uncover the suspect’s true identity.
The suspect was last spotted making his getaway in a blue Ford SUV on Arlington Boulevard in the Seven Corners area of Falls Church, Virginia, on Tuesday.
