The tragic crash occurred shortly before 4 a.m. Monday on a ramp leading to the southbound lanes of Interstate 85 in the Duluth area, as reported by Gwinnett County police.
One of the vehicles involved in the collision went over a wall on the elevated ramp, plummeting onto the traffic lanes below, causing the fatalities. Emergency services discovered five individuals deceased at the scene, while three others were rushed to local hospitals for treatment.
