Patel releases doorbell camera footage of possible suspect in Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance

The clips come from a video recovered from a doorbell camera and depict a person wearing a ski mask and backpack, with leather gloves, seemingly tampering with the camera and possibly armed. The investigation, about 10 days old, involves the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department working with private sector partners to recover footage after the doorbell camera was disconnected and other evidence at the home emerged. A ransom note demanding million in Bitcoin has been associated with the case. “Over the last eight days, the FBI and Pima County Sheriff’s Department have been working closely with our private sector partners to continue to recover any images or video footage from Nancy Guthrie’s home that may have been lost, corrupted, or inaccessible due to a variety of factors – including the removal of recording devices,” Patel said in an X post. “The video was recovered from residual data located in backend systems.”

Patel replied to the X thread and attached two videos that show the potential suspect grabbing branches from a nearby bush and placing them over the doorbell camera.
