Kevin Sorbo claims Hollywood canceled him for being a Christian and conservative.
Actor Kevin Sorbo Challenges Critics Claiming “Old White Men” Can’t Decide Roe v. Wade with Historic Throwback Shot
Kevin Sorbo, known for his role in the ’90s TV show “Hercules,” recently spoke out about being dropped by his agent and canceled by Hollywood. According to Sorbo, his Christian faith and conservative beliefs were the reasons behind this career setback.
In an interview with Fox News, the 64-year-old actor revealed that he was “blackballed” in the entertainment industry. His agent and manager informed him that his religious and political views were to blame for the lack of job offers.
Sorbo expressed his disappointment, stating, “It was sad to me… It’s an industry that screams for tolerance, and yet it’s a one-way street. It screams for freedom of speech, but Hollywood’s a one-way street as well. And that’s just too bad, you know. But I love the industry. I love the movies and TV.”

“It was really weird,” Sorbo continued. “I mean, here’s the thing. We have such a huge divide in our country right now, and it’s perpetuated by the mainstream media, perpetuated by movies, TV. I don’t harbor that kind of anger and hatred towards people. I have a different point of view.”
Sorbo’s wife, Sam Sorbo, also shared that her husband faced consequences for his beliefs on social media platforms. He was even kicked off LinkedIn and Facebook.
“Even LinkedIn took me down,” Sorbo chuckled. “They don’t like the truth. The truth is too difficult for some people to take.”
These comments were made as Sorbo and his wife promoted their upcoming movie, “Miracle in East Texas,” set to release in October. The film, produced by Sorbo Studios, is based on a true story and revolves around themes of love, hope, faith, and laughter.
Sorbo and Sam have been married since 1998 and have three children together.
