One US Army soldier dead, another hospitalized after altercation
Two U.S. Army soldiers engaged in an altercation that resulted in gunfire that killed one and hospitalized the other Saturday.
A III Corps spokesperson confirmed to KXXV that both are active duty troops serving in the 1st Cavalry Division. Their dispute happened off-base some 15 miles east of Fort Cavazos along Highway 190 in Nolanville, Texas.

It is not clear what the dispute was about. It began after 8 a.m. CT.
Both soldiers remain anonymous as Army officials contact their families.
