On Monday, 19-year-old Mackenzie Shirilla was convicted on 12 counts, including four⁤ counts of murder,⁢ four counts of felonious assault, two counts⁢ of aggravated vehicular ⁢homicide, one count of drug possession, and one⁤ count of ⁣possessing criminal tools.

The tragic crash occurred on July 31,‍ 2022. Surveillance footage ⁤revealed that‍ Shirilla accelerated to 100mph and deliberately drove into ⁢a wall⁣ that ‌she had been observed passing by a ‍few days earlier.

Authorities arrived at ‌the scene 45 minutes after the crash, where they discovered the wreckage. ⁤Shirilla, ‍who was ⁢17 at the time, was taken to the hospital, but her boyfriend, ⁣20-year-old⁣ Dominic Russo, ⁢and his friend, 19-year-old Davion ⁤Flanagan, tragically lost ⁢their lives.

Shirilla was arrested on November⁣ 4,⁣ 2022, and prosecutors presented evidence of a toxic relationship between her and Russo. They revealed that Shirilla had previously threatened him, including an ⁣incident where she expressed ⁢her intention to crash her ‌car during an argument.

Video evidence recovered ‌from Russo’s phone showcased Shirilla‍ repeatedly degrading⁤ him, making threats, and ‌damaging his property ⁢in the⁣ month leading ⁢up⁣ to the crash.⁢ The prosecution argued that her intent was not reckless driving but‌ murder.

“The [crash] video clearly shows the purpose and intent‌ of⁣ the defendant. She ⁣chose a course of death‍ and destruction⁤ that day,” the judge ⁢said.  “She morphs from a responsible driver to literal hell on wheels as⁤ she makes her‌ way down the street.”

A disturbing TikTok⁤ video featuring Shirilla surfaced online, where the audio ⁢includes the statement, “I’m not even⁤ cool, I’m just one of those girls that can⁤ do a ‌lot of drugs and not ⁤die.”

It has been reported that the trio had been smoking weed shortly before the ⁣tragic‍ crash.

Shirilla is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, August 21st for ‌sentencing.
