Tucker Carlson blasted the founder of the new global organization Semafor, Ben Smith after the former Buzzfeed editor-in-chief accused him of using racist language.
During a 20-minute remote interview as part of the pre-launch event for Smith’s new media company, Carlson steamrolled Smith.
Carlson was invited to discuss the future of journalism, but things turned sour.
The interview quickly deteriorated and Smith struggled to maintain control after he asked Carlson whether he was a white supremacist.
The interview included questions on ‘Replacement Theory,” which claims white people in America are being replaced by immigrants and minorities.
When Smith confronted Carlson about his alleged support for the theory, Carlson was quick to shoot Smith down.
“This is why you are considered, correctly, a propagandist and not a journalist,” he quipped at Smith.
He continued:
“Because I just explained in detail with total sincerity what I believe.”
“You ignored it and invoked mass shooters,” he said.

Smith, a former media writer for NYT, also asked the conservative pundit:
“Do you think white people have more of a claim on America than other people of races do?” Smith asked.
Carlson seemed entertained, and responded:
“No, of course not.”

“I think there are a lot of criticisms you can level at me,” he added.
“I think sometimes I overstate the case, I get pissed, I get nasty,” said Carlson, but claimed that the people he was angry at was ‘well-educated white liberals’ not ‘black people.’
