NY Periods Journo Inquires About Obviously Satirical Story

OMG.
I am DYING LOL at this. Check out this hilarious and obviously satirical tweet from Jared Rabel posted yesterday after the mask mandate was struck down by a federal judge.
I boarded a plane today with my son and mid flight, the pilot announces that the mask mandate is over. Flight attendants pulled off their masks and sneezed directly into their hands while screaming “this is MAGA airspace”. My son turned to me in tears. I don’t know what to do.

So it starts off legitimately enough, right? But the sneezing in the hands and the screaming of “MAGA AIRSPACE” should have been enough for any reasonable person to realize that he was mocking maskaholics.
Cue blue-checkmarked verified NYT journalist Victoria Kim. Harvard-educated Victoria Kim, I should add. She direct messaged Jared, hoping to interview him about his flight ordeal. And she was dead serious.
