NFL star criticizes ‘New York’ leftism as charity event at Trump Course is ruined by celebrity dropouts.

Former President Donald Trump: From Hollywood Celebrity to Political Maverick

Believe it or not, in 2023, former President Donald Trump was once a more traditional Hollywood celebrity than the political maverick he is today.

Back in the day, he shaved Vince McMahon’s head at Wrestlemania and even had a spot in the WWE Hall of Fame. He also showcased his acting skills in “Home Alone 2.” Trump had some genuine celebrity credentials.

During his time in the world of fake fighting and reality TV, there wasn’t a fellow celebrity who wouldn’t want to be associated with “The Don.”

But times have changed.

This became abundantly clear when NFL star Jordan Poyer had to cancel his charity golf tournament due to the flimsiest connection to the former president.

Poyer took to Instagram to announce the cancellation of his tournament, which was supposed to be held at Trump National in Doral, Florida. He cited “external pressures” as the reason behind the cancellation.

It’s worth noting that Poyer never explicitly reveals his political leanings, but he strongly suggests that he is not a leftist. He acknowledges the political spectrum and expresses his disagreement with certain ideologies.

Despite attempts to distance himself from Trump, Poyer chooses not to. The video implies that Poyer represents everyday Americans with center-leaning-right dispositions.

Poyer expresses his disappointment with the current state of America and the cancel culture that led to the cancellation of his tournament.

While Poyer harbors no ill will towards the sponsor, the Erie County Medical Center, he recognizes that the decision was influenced by the political climate.

Avalon Sports, the group working with Poyer, released a statement fully supporting him and condemning any type of violence.

Poyer remains calm and composed in the face of this adversity, but it’s hard not to feel that he’s letting the Erie County Medical Center off the hook.

This type of anti-Trump cowardice should be condemned. Political affiliations should not hinder efforts to help those in need, especially when it comes to charitable events.

Disliking or not endorsing the former president is one thing, but using it as an excuse to neglect those in need is pure evil and cowardice.
